Form RM-03 · Reminders
When reminders stop.
One of Fetcher's most important behaviors: reminders stop automatically the moment a client completes their upload. There is no risk of an awkward nudge landing after they've already submitted everything.
Automatic stop conditions
The reminder sequence for a request stops when any of the following happen:
- All required items are uploaded. This is the primary trigger. The moment the last required item is submitted, all pending reminders in the queue are cancelled.
- You close or archive the request. Manual closure cancels all scheduled reminders immediately.
- The sequence reaches its final step. Once the last reminder in the sequence has been sent, no further reminders are sent — even if items are still outstanding. To continue following up, you would need to manually resend the link or switch to a longer sequence.
Pausing reminders manually
If you've spoken to your client and they're on it, you can pause the reminder sequence temporarily from the request detail view. Click Pause Reminders and choose a resume date. Reminders will restart automatically on that date unless you cancel them before then.
Restarting a stopped sequence
If you re-open an archived request, the reminder sequence restarts from step one. You can also manually restart a completed sequence from the request detail view even without re-opening — useful if a client said they'd submit by a certain date and haven't.
