Form BR-02 · Account & Branding

Email sender name.

The email sender name is what your clients see in the From field when they receive a request or reminder from Fetcher. Getting this right is important — if clients don't recognize the sender, they may ignore the email or mark it as spam.

How to change it

Go to /dashboard/?v=account, find the Email Settings section, and update the Sender Name field. Click Save. The change applies to all emails sent from that moment on — it doesn't retroactively change previously sent emails.

What to set it to

Use whatever name your clients will recognize immediately. Common choices:

  • Your firm name: "Johnson & Associates"
  • Your own name: "Maria Lopez"
  • A role name: "Smith Mortgage — Documents Team"

Avoid generic names like "Documents" or "Notifications" — clients are less likely to open emails that don't clearly identify the sender.

The sending email address

Fetcher sends emails from a verified domain to ensure deliverability. The From address is managed by Fetcher's email infrastructure. If a client replies to a Fetcher email, the reply goes to the email address associated with the team member who sent the request (or the workspace owner's address, if no specific member is assigned).

Ask a colleague to testAfter setting up your sender name, send a test request to a colleague's personal email. Check how the From field looks on mobile — that's what most of your clients see first.
