Using a template in a new request.

Applying a template to a new request takes a single click. Here is how to use your saved templates to send requests faster.

Loading a template

On the New Request screen (/dashboard/?v=new), click Use Template before adding any items. A dropdown shows all your saved templates. Click the one you want and the document list pre-fills instantly with every item from the template — names, descriptions, Required/Optional status, and order.

Customizing after loading

A loaded template is a starting point, not a final list. After loading, you can:

  • Add new items specific to this client or matter
  • Remove items that don't apply
  • Edit item names or descriptions
  • Change Required to Optional (or vice versa) for specific items
  • Reorder items to suit this request

Any changes you make here only affect this request — the original template is not modified.

Switching templates

If you load the wrong template, click Use Template again and choose a different one. You'll be asked whether to replace the current list or merge the new items with the existing ones.
