Form RQ-05 · Document Requests

Downloading collected documents.

Once your client uploads their documents, you can download them individually or all at once. Here is how to access everything that's been collected.

Downloading individual files

Open the request detail view by clicking any request in your Requests list. Each document item shows the filename, file size, upload date, and a download button. Click Download beside any item to save that file to your device.

Downloading all files as a ZIP

At the top of the request detail view, click Download All. Fetcher packages all collected files into a single ZIP archive named after the request. The ZIP is organized by document item — each file is named clearly so you know which item it belongs to.

File naming in the ZIP

Fetcher names each file using the format: RequestName_ItemName_OriginalFilename.ext. This keeps everything organized when you unzip and add files to your case management system or filing structure.

Previewing files before downloading

Click the thumbnail or filename on any uploaded item to open a preview. PDFs, images, Word documents, and Excel files all preview in-browser without downloading. Use this to quickly verify that the right document was uploaded before committing it to your files.

What happens to uploaded files

All uploaded files are stored securely on Fetcher's servers with bank-grade encryption. They remain accessible as long as your account is active. Files associated with archived requests are also retained. Fetcher does not delete uploaded files automatically.

Download after closingA good workflow: review all uploads, close the request to stop reminders, then do a final Download All to get the complete package for your records.
